Kali Dal


Serving : 4 people


Ingredients:
3/4 cup Whole Urad Dal
1 large onion
2 medium tomato
100 gm butter
5 cloves garlic
4 tsp Salt
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 small green chilly
1 tsp tumeric
2 tsp red chilly powder
2 Tablespoon Dhania Jeera power
1 Tsp Garam Masala
1 Tsp Ginger garlic paste
2 Tsp curd
Corinder to garnish

Method :
Pressure cook urad dal in 2 cups of water for 4 whistles
In a Pan heat up the butter and then add cumin seeds
After 2 mins add chopped onions, garlic and green chilly and saute till onions become translucent
Now add chopped tomato and ginger garlic paste and cook for 4 mins
Add tumeric powder , salt, dhania jeera, red chilly powder, kasuri methi , garam masala and let it cook for 5 minutes
Now add yogurt
Now add the boiled urad dal let it cook for 12 min

Add water to maintain consistency

In the end garnish with corinder
